The Team
Director/Producer - Information Architect

Ron began his multimedia career in 1989 as the head of the Imaging Department at Vision Presentations where he literally prepared thousands of corporate presentations for clients of all sizes. Eventually, Ron’s department grew to be one of the largest of its kind in Western Canada. After almost 10 years with Vision, Ron joined Duocom (an MCSi company) in 1999. With over a billion dollars in sales, MCSi was then the world’s largest Media Consultant/Systems Integrator and staging company. Ron first managed the Canadian graphics business before heading the North American Creative Services group. His creative group also developed all the media for staged events for over a thousand MCSi AV specialists in Atlanta GA, Los Angeles, CA and Cincinnati, OH. One of these events included a presentation in 3D, another event used dozens of interstitials and commercials to simulate a SportsNet broadcast, the last one using multi-screen sync. The group also assisted the marketing department in creating video/graphics for key marketing pitches for MCSi – including a DVD video pitch for NASA. In 2002, AV Video Multimedia Producer Magazine named Ron one of the top 100 producers in North America. Ron formed Jacklin Creative, the predecessor to the Media FX Group in 2003. When not managing projects at the Media FX group, Ron is helping to create the next wave of multi-media talent in BC as an instructor in the New Media Design program at BCIT. Courses that Ron teaches include: Information Architecture, Interface Design, Media Techniques, and Human Factors. Ron's true passion is basketball. If he was only a little taller, quite a bit faster, and not so pale... Go Steve Nash!
Director/Producer - Motion Graphics Specialist

While attending BCIT's New Media program in 2004, Zach jump-started his career by producing an award-winning 3-D animation 'in sync' with a dynamic audio composition he created. After graduation, he partnered with Ron Jacklin producing video and motion graphics for multi-screen shows throughout North America, including the AGM for Molson's in Toronto, and A&W in Palm Springs. His creative talent lends itself to not only video production but also animation for website production. Zach was the lead producer in the development of Growthworks Flash animations profiling various mutual funds, creating banner ads for Hardsteel, and much more. Zach also is one of the Media FX Group's most experience iTunes/Podcast specialists. Whether it is programming a multi-screen Dataton Watchout production, creating and manipulating graphics in After-Effects and Photoshop, building a Flash animation, producing a complex audio production, or a simple PowerPoint show, Zach Shore is extremely talented.
On Saturday nights, Zach can also be found honing his audio and video production talents as a DJ and VJ at one of Vancouver's most popular nightclubs.
Director of Business Development

Michael Harding brings a wealth of international business development experience to Media FX Group. With his roots in experimental performance art Michael became one of North Americas leading socio-political performance artists virtually creating the punk-mime artform, touring to Europe and across North America. He later morphed this form into Stretched Gestures an expressive danceform fusing physical psychology, mime, yoga and the philosophy of colour. He then founded Street Cry Theatre, North Americas first theatre company for street prostitutes and hustlers. This lead into successful arts administration and curatorial positions in Toronto Victoria and Vancouver where he curated leading edge shows including Urban Targets and Sniffy the Rat as well as creating the world’s first low-cost global communications centre incorporating Sloscan, Ham Radio and the IP Sharp global electronic communications system – the immediate precursor to email. During this time Michael produced Night Satellite, the world’s first simulcast, a three way satellite concert between Japan, Australia and Canada using Canadian satellite technology, Japanese video technology and Australian sound computer tech.
He then moved into funding as Campaign Director for the highly successful Give Art A Home Campaign for the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts ($6.5 million) and then on to the Pacific Space Centre Campaign for the HR MacMIllan Space Centre ($8.8 million). This attracted the attention of MacDonald Dettwiler, whose President pursued him to become Director of Communications and then Director of International Relations, in which position he was instrumental in winning the three major contracts in the history of the company, valued at almost $1 Billion, which overnight significantly raised the stock price. Michael has spent the past three years focused on the Middle East and the development of a potential space business for that area. With a current background in international relations and an extensive global network we invited Michael to join us with a focus on taking Media FX to the global market.
