Our past projects
The Media FX Group specializes in the "creative" content development for events/installations, digital signage, and interactive websites. We are based out of Vancouver, BC.
Our most interesting jobs to-date was on the set of Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer using our screen blending technology and creative talents (with G-Creative). Honourable mentions go to producing A&W's conference in New Orleans (with Emerge Interactive), creating the high impact "BC" video (and PowerPoint presentation) for the Ministry of Economic Development for Canada House in Beijing, and contributing (with CCR) to the Molson AGM at the Hancok Theatre in Toronto and Transat's trip around the world (with CCR) in a 2-hour Dataton Watchout extravaganza on a 160'' seamless screen spanning the width of Canada Place (Vancouver''s Trade and Convention Centre).
We are the developers of the Flying Wedge Pizza's multi-screen (6x42" Panasonic LCD''s) signage at the Vancouver International Airport and downtown Vancouver''s Bentall Center. We have developed content for Yoga studios to Educational institutions, from Gummy Worms to V8 juice. The Media FX Group works with networks and solutions from Lamar, AxisTV, Scala and systems integrators like Duocom (across Canada), Digital Promo Network (DPN) in Boston, MA and Visix in Atlanta, GA. We are also the producers behind the BC Ferries Vacations Center. A spectacular 16 LCD videowall.
eLearning and Interactive
The Media FX Group produced the Provincial Outreach Programs for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. These sites were re-engineered using a leading sophisticated Content Management System (CMS) called Drupal. We are also proud of our community website developed for The Royal Canadian Legion. We also developed the www.dottotech.com website. The importance of iTunes, Social Networking, Open Source and RSS are critical to the success of this television show''s website. So many people are turning to their computer and iPods for news and events. Our team is on the leading edge of the techniques used to make Dottotech as much as a success on the internet as it is on broadcast television (if not more so!). Look for Steve Dotto to be the next "Mr. Gadget" on iTunes. Well, not the movie star, but certainly one of the more popular Podcasts.
We are proud members of the British Columbia Technology Association (BCTIA). We have sponsored the Technology Impact Awards for the past six years. Our two owners Ron Jacklin and Zach Shore are also part-time instructors at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and the Vancouver Film School (VFS).
We are a web/graphic/video production company with talented in-house producers.
The Media FX Group is eager to do what they do best - Conference/Event media, Digital Signage, and eLearning/interactive web development. We are the creative force behind many hi-profile websites, events, and signage. We understand the technologies, their limitations, and how to make the most of today''s creative environments. Web 2.0, CMS, Drupal, Open Source, RSS, Rich Media, Watchout multi-screen, DVD-Sync, Scala, AXIS-TV, High Definition, Windows/Mac encoding... We understand. Let us help you to -- too!
